Archives For gaming

Normally, I am not a fan of women that sport the one piece swimsuit (I’m a 2-piece bikini kind of guy) but I have found an exception to that preference.  The Polyester/Elastane Pac-Man swimsuit in the picture below was designed by James Lillis and can be purchased for $90 from Black Milk Clothing.  I’d say this is a must have for any Pac-Man loving gamer girls, especially if they like to spend some time on the beach or at the swimming pool.  Sadly, there is no mens version of this vintage gaming awesomeness.

It saddens me that I have never come across any awesome Final Fantasy stuff worth posting, or at least not until today.  Etsy seller PrettySneaky is selling the awesome Final Fantasy knit Converse Chuck Taylor Sneakers in the picture below for $120.  The best part is that they are using the characters from the classic Final Fantasy for the NES (my favorite and the prized possession of my NES game collection)!  The picture below shows the shoes with the white mage and the black mage but you can choose the characters you want for your custom pair of Chucks.  I’d say these are a must for any Final Fantasy fan that is looking for a pair of Converse Chuck Taylor sneakers.

I’ve never been a huge fan of women with long fingernails, but when they decorate them as awesome as the ones in the picture below then I am all for them!  Apparently the person in the picture below is a big fan of Super Mario Bros 3 to the point that they are sporting the best looking fingernail art I have ever seen!  I thought the Mario Kart Rainbow Road themed fingernail art that I previously posted was awesome but it can’t even hold a candle to this Super Mario Bros 3 manicure!  Long live Super Mario Bros 3!

I love when people take classic video games and do something awesome with them.  I’ve been a big fan of video game mods for a long time but the idea of this one seems really cool.  Somebody has taken Space Invaders and replaced all but one invader with Star Wars ships.  The lonely Millennium Falcon is facing a ton of tie fighters, tie bombers and even the Death Star!  But, as cool as this is, there is both good news and bad news.  The bad news is that this is apparently not a real game although my fingers are crossed that somebody will create it.  I could do it myself but I don’t have the time.  However, the good news is that you can get this awesome crossover in the form of a t-shirt!  TSHIRTBORDELLO is selling the Space Invaders Strike Back t-shirt for $14.99.

I have always been puzzled by the fact that instead of beating his enemies senseless with a pipe wrench, Mario insists on jumping on his enemies to kill them.  Shouldn’t a plumber like Mario use the tools of his trade?  Well, apparently at least some members of the Mushroom Kingdom prefer to use a little more firepower than just their feet.  The awesome cosplay below shows some people dressed up as some scary versions of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and Toadstool and they are carrying some serious firepower.  The RPG that Luigi is carrying is awesome!

I don’t think I have ever played a Super Mario game I haven’t liked but my favorite has always been Super Mario World.  Apparently I’m not the only one because somebody took the look and feel of Super Mario World and made it look like Earth.  Even though things aren’t exactly the same, it is amazing how familiar this feels.  The best part about it is that this awesome bit of Super Mario art can be yours in the form of a t-shirt!  Storenvy is where you can buy this awesome t-shirt that is being sold by Go Ape Shirts for $20.  I have a feeling I will be ordering at least one today.

When I first started playing Portal, I have to admit that I really hated those annoying Portal turrets.  I found them to be incredibly irritating when I just wanted to get through the level.  Like most games, I came to love that aspect of the game although not as much as the person in this picture.  Apparently this guy is a huge fan of the Portal game‘s turret because he decided to get a huge tattoo of it on his side.  Sadly, I can’t make heads or tails of all the text around it so I am just going to pretend that is says the cake is a lie.

With all of the kidnappings that seem to happen in the wonderful world of Nintendo, you knew there was going to be a mix-up eventually.  Well, it looks like it has finally happened because in this awesome piece of video game art by DeviantART user Gigei, it appears that Bowser has accidentally captured Princess Zelda rather than Princess Peach.  That probably isn’t going to do much to piss off Mario assuming that was his goal.  Now he is going to have the sword swinging Link hot on his trail.  Oops!

Companion Cubes are certainly helpful when playing Portal but when it comes to companions, I prefer the warm and fluffy type, much like this Companion Cube pillow!  I wouldn’t call myself a die hard Portal fan like millions of others, but I still love the games enough to like this Companion Cube throw pillow.  It measures 12″ x 12″ and it can be yours for $28 thanks to Craftsquatch’s Etsy store.  As cool as this is, I think I would lean more toward the NES Controller Pillow but I have more of an emotion attachment to the NES than Portal which I just recently started playing.

In the past, I posted about a Pokemon Pokeball bra (The Pokebra) but what do you do if you have boobs that can’t be captured by plain old pokeballs?  You spring for the Master Ball version of course!  I can’t say this is as awesome as the NES Controller Bra I posted last week but it still gets a thumbs up from me!  Pokemon loving gamer girls are sure to love this awesome piece of underwear.  The best part is, they can buy the Master Ball bra for $30 from SceeneShoes’ Etsy store.  That is the same person who makes the NES Controller Bra for those keeping track.
