This Portal 2 cake isn’t a lie! It is rare that I see a cake that looks as good as this Space Core cake but I promise that this cake isn’t a lie! Still don’t believe me? Here is a picture of this amazing Portal 2 themed cake being cut to prove it! The creator of this delicious looking cake is Mike’s Amazing Cakes and I’d say that this cake lives up to the amazing in their name! Somebody needs to make me a cake like this! Please!

Steampunk NES Console [pic]

I see a lot of really cool console mods but its not very often that I see one for an older system like the NES, so when I saw this, I knew it had to be posted. This functional NES console even includes a screen to get your game on with! Supposedly this is a customized ‘Kidrobot Munny’ figure but having never heard of such a thing before, I’m just going to call it a robot steampunk NES console because that is what it looks like. With as cool as this looks, hopefully we can get the steampunk treatment to other Nintendo consoles like the SNES.

I’ve never been one for doing any kinds of arts and crafts. Being forced to do them in school or in Bible school or wherever was practically torture for me. However, I do appreciate the the things that others can make with their crafting skills. That said, if anybody with some cross stitching skills wants to make this ‘It’s on like Donkey Kong‘ thing for me, I would be very grateful. Super Mario Bros Dollar Bill [pic]

I would never endorse defacing money because it would be foolish to risk not being able to spend it if you have to (and it is illegal too). However, I do enjoy seeing money that people have decorated. Usually it is just some mustache doodles or whatever on the presidents but this time somebody has taken it to a whole different level. Doryan of Eyes of a Brownie decided to turn a $1 bill into a Super Mario Bros $1 bill. George Washington is now Mario and there is even a question box, koopa shell and pipe piranha plant! When you see art like this, it is sad to think that it is illegal, especially when the government is constantly trying to make our money look more like Monopoly money. Something tells me this is really popular in the Mushroom Kingdom though.

Medic and Soldier Team Fortress 2 Cosplay [pic]

Like many people, I love playing Team Fortress 2. Its a really fun shooter that you can jump into a game when you have a few spare minutes. I even sneak a game or two in at work when nobody else is in the office. But, as much as I may love the game, I can’t say that I love it as much as the guys that are dressed up in this awesome Medic and Soldier TF2 cosplay. The detail that these guys put into their costumes and weapons is stunning. Something tells me that they will be winning some Halloween costume contests this year.

8-Bit NES Video Game Sand Sculpture [pic]

I’ve always thought sand sculptures are pretty cool. I was really sad when our state fair decided not to bring them back because they had some amazing sand sculptures over the years. Although not having any sand sculptures to see in person kind of sucks, the picture of this amazing 8-bit video game themed sand sculpture makes up for it. Several of the Nintendo NES classics are represented on this awesome sand sculpture including Super Mario Bros, Megaman, Final Fantasy and the Legend of Zelda. This work of art appears to be called ‘I am 8-bit’ and it was created by Guy-Olivier Deveau who created it for the Parskville Canadian Open. He did an amazing job!

Any girl I see that happens to be wearing these amazing Legend of Zelda Legend of Zelda Hylian Shield earrings probably has an excellent shot with me. I’m not saying I wouldn’t go out with girls that don’t wear geeky earrings but if you wear something like this, your odds improve dramatically. Actually, its probably a safe assumption that you would score big points with any gamer guy if you approach them wearing these earrings. Where can you get these awesome earrings? From Etsy of course! BohemianCraftsody, the same seller that makes the awesome Stormtrooper Helmet earrings that I recently posted about, is selling these amazing Legend of Zelda Hylian Shield earrings for $8. Hey! Listen! I have just the cake for Legend of Zelda fans! Apparently somebody is a big fan of the popular gaming franchise from Nintendo and they got this awesome cake to demonstrate their love! When it comes to Legend of Zelda cakes, I think I prefer the first one that I posted a long time ago but this one is pretty neat too. I think the map and the boomerang are really well done but the eyes on Princess Zelda and Link are kind of creeping me out. Angry Birds Smashes Into School Tests [pic]

You know Angry Birds is having a real impact on society when it starts showing up in your tests at school. If the game was around so that I had test questions like this when I was in school, I might not have hated my math classes so much but to be fair, I am not a big fan of formal education period. I would probably have an easier time designing an algorithm that could do the math work for me than I would actually doing this problem. Extra geek credits for anybody who solves this and puts the answer in the comments! And no, you don’t have to show your work.
