Many people may not know this, but I have been a fan of racing for much of my life.  I don’t keep up with it like I used to, but I still like catching the highlights to see all of the nasty wrecks.  I can’t help but check out the carnage from a good car wreck!  Perhaps that is why I work for a towing company, so I can see all the banged up cars.  Anyway, I also like seeing the creative designs on the helmets of the drivers.  In this case, Caterham F1′s Heikki Kovalainen was spotted wearing this amazing Angry Birds helmet at a recent race.

It always makes my day when fans of Global Geek News share the awesome and geeky things with us that they have created.  In this case, Twitter user @VideoGameRescue sent me a link to a post about a Super Mario Bros warp pipe with a piranha plant in it that they made.  I think the whole thing is awesome but the fake leaves are a nice touch!  I’m not the arts and crafts type so this isn’t something I would ever make but I love it that other people are and take the time to share what they have created!  Thanks @VideoGameRescue!

I always enjoy a good optical illusion.  I especially enjoy the ones where you aren’t exactly sure what you are looking at like the one where you are either looking at two faces or a candle stick.  Well, this is one of those types of optical illusions!  Depending on how you look at the picture and perhaps whether you prefer the X-Men or Batman, you will either see two images of Batman staring at each other or an image of Wolverine.  Although I can see it as both, I see it more as two images of Batman.  Let us know what you see in the comments!

Yesterday, I read that there is a new live action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie in the making which had my jumping for joy which is why this awesome Bebop and Rocksteady cosplay seems appropriate.  Apparently the movie won’t come out until I believe Christmas of 2013 (next year), but to say that I am excited to see a new live action TMNT movie would be an understatement.  I loved the ones from the early 90s.  Anyway, I don’t know who these cosplayers are, but this is definitely some impressive Bebop And Rocksteady cosplay!

Finally, somebody has come up with the perfect although slightly expensive engagement ring for the Doctor Who fans out there.  Actually, this is just a rendering and doesn’t really exist although I’m sure it probably could be made after looking at this amazing rendering.  A description of this amazing TARDIS ring is below for those interested in the details of jewelry as well as a picture and a 360 view of the ring!

It’s a Police Box based ring with a tension set 1CT Princess Cut center stone. The three round stones is the Police Box sign, the two sets of four baguettes symbolize the windows, and a small princess cut below that to symbolize the instructions found on the front of the Police Box.

Whenever I am at home, I am always wearing a pair of slippers.  I find them to be much more comfortable than just wearing my shoes around the house and I can’t stand to walk around barefoot.  However, I don’t have a pair this awesome!  I will definitely be getting a pair of these as soon as my current pair of slippers are ready for the trash.  For those curious where you can get them, I found that you can order them through Sears for $14.95 + $9.95 in shipping (minimum).  No word on if they will make you grow any bigger when you put them on.
